Importing from MOI is working fine but export to MOI using the bridge does nothing. The dialogue appears I hit OK but nothing happens in MOI. I tried using version 3.0 and the latest version 4 Beta of MOI.

I tried playing with all the settings and also tried with SubD and non subD objects.

I tried restarting MOI and also restarting R3F.

Still nothing.

This would be great if this worked.

On a good note the bridge to 3DCoat and back works flawlessly!

Very sad that the developer is not taking action to resolve this major bug and blocking the workflow between ROCKET 3F and MoI3D imensly, even in v1.7! I can also confirm that from MoI3D to ROCKET 3F everything is working fine, but the other way around, no way! So please developer, fix this "pain in the ass" bug as soon as possible! Thanks for your other great work!

Post one (Grimmy) describes exactly what happens if someone tries to use the bridge function from Rocket 3F to Moi3D! So I assume their must be an instruction failure from the developer´s site or the downloaded file versions or something else is causing this resistent bug. Me uploading a video, that is proofing this is not working? I don´t think that´s the right way to go, developer! What about you uploading clear instructions with proof video that it works! 3 persons already encountered this same bridge problem already here in this thread and I think it´s fair enough from the developers site, to proof with a video and detailed information (which version of MoI3D v3,v4,trial,beta was used to bring some light into this matter. Maybe checking also the downloadable bridge files would be helpful? Maybe just a little instruction failure or an upload failure or something else, it would be very nice to clearify this matter as soon as possible. Thanks!

Hey, there is some hesitation on my part in extending this, as I have no true-baseline, or inkling for it being an "across-the-board" resolution, but as a fellow Moi3D user, I definitely-understand the frustration of that segment of these awesome bridge-tools being seemingly-faulty to some degree, so my apologies extended in advance to those who fail to find this as a resolution, but what completely-solved this issue for me (as in, it was not a bug at all) was simply with my checking to make sure that my Windows>Users>*YourUserName>AppData folder-attributes (under the General-tab) were not set to 'hidden'.
Note as well, that you will also need to set Windows Explorer to "show" hidden files & folders.

Here's an older-article on this for Win7/10:
cant-see-the-appdata-folder

So again, your mileage may vary here, but the main thing to keep in mind is that ultimately the Moi3D bridging-script, just like the 3D-Coat and Keyshot bridges, truly does function as intended by it's authors, it's just that I can say for me at least, the 'folder-communication' was being cut-off locally, if you will---and btw I had the same experience as Grimmy & gloomshine03, et.al with the 'one-way-bridge'.

Thank you samuelpade for your attention and will to help out. I did all the things you described in your post to make the bridge script work but unfortunatelly it didn´t work out for me. I´m on WIN7 and have everything updated and I hoped your solution by unhidding specific folders would do the job but nothing changed in terms of this one-way-bridge. I really hope we get some support from the developer soon to get over and done with this annoying circumstances, cause as we can see, a lot of people are in the same situation here. Thanks again for your supportive attitude. :)

With all sincerity I'm sorry it didn't work out; I'm rocking Win7 on my work-machine as well. Perhaps, when you make the attempt to send over to Moi, and see nothing there, hit one of the 'reset' buttons on your viewport in Moi just for kicks, in case your models/scaling within Rocket are set very-low in comparison to your Moi3D-setup. That's not much of a lifeline, I know, but maybe something to keep in play...

Gloomshine03, Grimmy's post is not enough to see what is wrong on your side.
I need to see exactly what is going on, and than I will wi give you some instructions and we will try to debug this. We can go without video but it will be long way.
For now if your PC do not use English language try to toggle to English.
This Bridge is not official, because MoI do not support tools for this kind of opperation, so some times it can give some not predictable result like you have.

So, here is my one-way-bridge video and hopefully after some help it turns into a two-way-bridge as it should.
If this video can´t help to make this work, heaven help us!

Hay,
1. Run Bridge
2. Go to c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DigitalFossils\Rocket 3F\Bridges\ do you have bridge.obj here?
3. If yes open it and tell me is it your object from Rocket?
4. If 3 is yes then, you must have inside MoI hotkey - Ctrl+Shift+Alt+D - Send_to_Rocket_3F hard, run it and tell me what is happen.
5. If 4 dose not work than, try to insert Send_to_Rocket_3F hard into place where MoI show cordinates of cursor it is at left from yellow Snap Buttons and hit Enter. Let me know.

Finally my two-way-bridge works! Yeeey! :)

1. First I deleted bridge.obj & bridge.mtl in c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DigitalFossils\Rocket 3F\Bridges\
2. Now I created a new object in Rocket 3F and checked if the according bridge.obj & bridge.mtl was created in c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DigitalFossils\Rocket 3F\Bridges\ > and it was!
3. then I selected the new created object and run the bridge from Rocket 3F to Moi3D and nothing happend! (as usual...)
4. Now I pressed the Ctr + Alt + D keyboard hotkey which was defined to execute the "Send_to_Rocket_3F hard" command inside Moi3D and surprise surprise, my object appeared finally in Moi3D.
5. I also typed the "Send_to_Rocket_3F hard" in the suggested place from the developer in Moi3D and that worked also!
6. Now I transfered the same object from Moi3D to Rocket 3F and it worked but it comes out in a different palce (different entering coordinates) as it was sent from originaly.

So all in all, the two-way bridge works now, except the matching entering points in both applications.
Big thanks to Samardac and everybody who tried to help to solve this problem and I really think this whole procedure should be included somewhere in the manual as it´s essential to make this two-way-bridge work for much better workflow.

PS:
Would also like to see a solution for the excat same entering coordinates for both applications.

Check this description about: - Set MoI orientation to Y-Up (www.rocket3f.com/bridges).

>> Do you have Rocket_3F_to_MoI.exe and Rocket_3F_to_MoI_Hard.exe?

Yes they exist in my c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DigitalFossils\Rocket 3F\Bridges\ folder and seem to be exactly doing the same thing with the same file size. If I execute them, they transfer/bridge the last object I created from Rocket 3F to MoI3D and then i have to make it visible with Ctr + Alt + D in Moi3D. What is the difference between them? Is there a differernce at all? Today my inserting points match perfectly when I bridge between Rocket 3F, Moi3D and Rhinoceros 3D which makes it perfect, for what I need these applications for. Must have been jinxed yesterday when I tried doing the same thing with different results and not matching entering coordinate bridge points when transfering forth and back. Everything is working now as it should. Thanks for your support Samardac! :)

That Rocket_3F_to_MoI.exe and Rocket_3F_to_MoI_Hard.exe have to make MoI active window than send to it that Ctr + Alt + D hotkey and MoI starts to execute some scrit.
I do not know why but it dose not make your MoI active window but as I can see with Rocket everything is good. What is name of your MoI window?
